SUMMARY:Motion & Jody Wisternoff Presents: Day Whispers
DESCRIPTION:Bristol-born producer and electronic music legend Jody Wisternoff returns to Motion on the 2nd July headlining his own carefully curated day party – ‘Day Whispers’.  \nJody’s fearless approach to music production has allowed him to consistently grow and evolve as an artist\, from winning the DMC World DJ Championships in 1986 aged justy 13 years old and playing his first DJ set in a club aged 16\, to touring around the world whilst balancing family life.  \nHis first break came in 1988\, when he and his brother Sam formed hip hop/ electronic duo Tru Funk\, with their tracks being playlisted by Tim Westwood and the brothers appearing in The Face magazine. Wisternoff then became an unknowing pioneer in the rave scene as a member of Sub Love with DJ Die and Way Out West with Nick Warren.   \nIn more recent years\, Jody went on to release his debut solo album ‘Trails We Blaze’ in 2012\, and has released solo singles on Ministry of Sound\, Anjunadeep and Distinctive Records – with which he receive the coveted ‘Beatport Number 1’ with his track ‘Cold Drink\, Hot Girl’.  \nThis is not an event to be missed for deep and progressive fans\, with a huge support line up featuring Nox Vahn\, Steven Weston [LIVE]\, Asch Pintura and Paul Honey.

DESCRIPTION:Motion’s annual Summer Garden Party is back! With a stellar house line up\, this huge outdoor party is guaranteed to get you two-stepping into the sunset.  \nHE.SHE.THEY. resident SYREETA is first on the bill – described as authentic\, fearless and inclusive\, SYREETA has an uncanny ability to read and adapt to the energy of a crowd. Drawing on chunky basslines and melodic grooves from a palette of house and techno\, the London–based selector is known for her diverse sets. Playing numerous iconic parties and festivals\, SYREETA has fast become a ‘must see’. \nRising star Manda Moor’s productions and DJ sets are somewhere between House and Techno\, influenced by the House of Chicago from the ’90s\, while being groove and tech infused. Her cuts have made their way onto labels such as Hot Creations\, Tamango\, DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid to name a few. Crowds around the world have been mesmerised by her driving and eclectic sets which have filled dancefloors at festivals and nightclubs globally.  \nBen Rau originally fell in love with house and techno in his late teens\, losing himself in the music and exploring his deep-seated passion for electronic music through self-expression – namely\, raving. As time went on he became more involved behind the scenes\, progressing from the dancefloor to the decks and into the studio. Having a solid grounding in club culture from such a grassroots level means Ben’s connection with the dancefloor runs deep\, likewise his studio endeavours are aimed squarely at those who dedicate their time to dancing the night away. \nCharlie Boon is a house and techno producer from Cornwall who is currently based in London. After an alias change and a rave influenced new sound\, Charlie has been busy with a string of new releases and festival shows.

DESCRIPTION:After the success of our YARD weekender\, everyone’s favourite house and techno day party\, YARD: Open Air Club\, returns in July!  \nThis time\, the lineup is headed up by musical connoisseur Hunee – who has slowly seeped out into the world his choice cuts of rhythmically playful and soul infused house music\, on labels like Rush Hour\, Future Times and W.T.  As likely to draw for a classic house record as he is a disco curveball\, a boogie delight or mixing an African bomb into a techno record\, each selection he makes is a thing of true passion – you can see it not only in his eyes\, but so too in the eyes of those dancing along to his sets.  \nJoining Hunee on the main stage is Dar Disku\, a DJ Collective who celebrate music from across Arabia; Darwin\, a Canadian DJ with a laser focus on UK club music\, joining the dots between techno\, dub\, and breakbeat; and Motion resident Ellis Roberts. \nThe second stage will be headlined with a b2b set from Young Marco and John Talabot. Young Marco has a reputation for ballsy\, genre-defying eclecticism\, playing sets that joined the dots between everything from tropical rhythms\, afro gems and quirky Middle Eastern disco\, to lost proto-house\, throbbing techno and industrial-strength jack-tracks. John Talabot has an open-minded approach to making\, collecting and playing music – his tireless search for music makes him one of those rare DJs that can effortlessly juxtapose efficacy\, risk\, and revelation.  \nCompleting the line up is globally respected artist Saoirse\, from whom you can expect dub\, house\, jazz\, electro\, garage\, techno\, ambient\, breaks and some surprises; and Manami\, a Bristol-based DJ who plays music inspired by her diverse upbringing and classical training.
