Social Media Lead (Maternity Cover)

Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for electronic music? Motion Events Ltd is seeking an innovative individual to spearhead our social media strategy as our newest Social Media Lead.

As Social Media Lead, you will develop and execute our social media strategy while overseeing the management of engagement across the companies brands. You will be responsible for driving brand awareness, maximising audience engagement, and enhancing loyalty through effective social media channels.


  • Form social media content and campaigns which promote engagement and drive brand awareness.
  • Communicate with customers through effective community management, representing the brand in a positive light.
  • Actively monitoring social media conversations concerning the brand(s) engagements.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the businesses overall marketing and objectives. This should include different approaches for different platforms and with a shared understanding to introduce Followers from different groups to other venues in the portfolio.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of social media channels, ensuring timely and engaging content creation and publishing.
  • Utilise tracking and analytics platforms, analyse social media performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Working closely with the content creator, who will assist in developing and delivering assets which reflect the vision.
  • Develop and execute data-driven campaigns across various social media platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging social media platforms, and best practices, and incorporate innovative developments for social media strategies.
  • Develop relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners to build on brand messaging and expand the brands social media reach.
  • To work with our paid media agency to manage spending on social media advertising.
  • Assisting with general marketing and event duties such as mailers, text-outs, ticket counts, pulling revenues.
  • Assist with overseeing and booking in external services such as physical promotion, billboards and freelance photographers/videographers for shows.
  • Overseeing event launches across all platforms alongside the rest of the marketing team.

Ideally you will have:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role working with events / influencers to deliver engagement, brand advocacy and ultimately sales.
  • A degree in a related subject e.g. marketing, PR or communications.
  • Experience of working with Adobe Creative Suite an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media – both the main and niche platforms.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Great with people and bringing out the best in a partnership.
  • Must be happy to be hands on within a small multi skilled Sales & Marketing Team.
  • Out of office hours work may be required to attend events, interact with Artists and customers.
  • Excellent communication and English writing skills.
  • Proven track record of successful social media campaigns, with demonstrable results in driving. audience engagement, brand awareness, and business growth.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for electronic music.

This is a temporary position, with the potential to develop into a full time position when the maternity cover period comes to an end.
